After investing quite a bit of money on candles that were either too expensive or didn’t produce a scent strong enough for my taste, I decided to venture into candle-making. I hand pour each scented candle using premium quality wax, fragrance and essential oils and lead free wicks. Personalized soy candle favors are my speciality I’ve had the opportunity to create custom items for Intercom Radio, Rising Tide Capital, Women Techmakers, Port Liberte and Unity Funeral Chapel in Harlem. In 2014 I was awarded $7500 in the Start Something Challenge which gave me an opportunity to jumpstart my business. I currently have a small studio located inside the Hewn Arts Center in Jersey City where I have a showroom and monthly candle making events.
