COACH’S CORNER – UPDATE
I can’t believe it has been a month since I sent out a newsletter. I had some technology issues this month. My laptop of 5 years crashed and now I own a brand spanking new laptop with plenty of RAM and harddrive space. So no crashing will be going on here (fingers crossed). I have learned that it is so important for you to occassionally backup your harddrive. Invest in an external harddrive to keep your large files especially images, music and videos.
This month I was co-host for one of the #HandmadeChat hosted by Indie Business owner Donna Maria Coles Johnson. I re-capped the chats on my blog of the 1st two chats. The chat for this week will be on "How to Wholesale Your Products". Be sure to join the chat. You won’t regret it. You can join the chat here tomorrow at 8pm EST.
Also, if you are in the NJ/NYC area the NYC and NJ Indie Directors, Melissa Rivera and myself, will be hosting a joint IndieMeetup at the Pleasant Valley Lavender Farm in Monmouth County, NJ. For more information visit here. We are planning a few hours of Indies plus lavender plus picnic equals fun! Hope to see you there!
Next month we will feature Soap Camp the weekend of July 14th and 15th. See the list of class offerings for the weekend. Save $50 if you book both days!
Check out the line up of topics and co-hosts already scheduled for the month of June. We are gonna have a chatting good time! Mark you calendars for every Thursday from 8:00 – 8:30 pm! See ya there!

"Making Aromatherapy Creams & Lotions " by Donna Maria
When I first started making soaps one of the first industry names I came across was Donna Maria Coles Johnson. She has been advocating for the handcrafted beauty industry for years. Did you know she started out making handcrafted beauty just like us with a passion for making awesome crafted skin care? I was so psyched when I saw she wrote a book and of course I have it in my handcrafted beauty book library.
Do this day (10 years later) I still see her book on book shelves in various book stores. I even get to say to myself "I know her"!
I recommend this book if you would like to learn in-depth about how to formulate various lotions and creams. It is a must have in your handcrafted beauty book library.
