Today I was cleaning up my desk at work as I have to make a decision whether I will accept the direction my boss wants to take the company. I came across a fortune that I saved from a fortune cookie I ate. The fortune cookie stated “Don’t pursue happiness – create it!”
I began to think how profound this statement is. As I wonder what my options are I have to realize that my happiness is not in the hands of others. I am responsible to “create it”. If I know what I want to do with my life I need to “create it”.
Things happen for a reason and I am gonna take this opportunity to “create it” and expand my soapmaking classes that I am currently offering at various venues more locally. I enjoy teaching others how to make handmade soaps and other beauty and skin care products from scratch. I know I am headed in the right direction and with guidance and support from those in my circle I know I can successfully “create” and expand my soapmaking classes.
I would love to hear how you have not pursued happiness but was able to “create it”. Please share as you may be an inspiration to someone else.
