10 am – 12 Noon CP Cupcake Soapmaking with La Shonda Tyree

Soaps are no longer bound by the bar. Expound on your soapmaking knowledge and learn how to make the lasted phenom in baking translated into soap by the way of cupcakes. They are an instant hit and will make a great addition to your product line.

You will take home:
* a bath of freshly prepared custom soap cupcakes (approx. 6 cupcakes)

1 – 3 pm DIY Digital Product Photography with Tamara Fleming of Femworks Signature

As entrepreneurs you should always know how to manage yourself, your service, your product and your time wisely. While you’re busy sourcing materials, networking ,mixing up unique combinations and developing a business mind for success, you should also learn how to shoot your products effectively. This course will discuss ways that you can shoot your product and it all starts with putting the equipment you have now, to good use. Until you get the capital to invest in hiring a professional photographer, learn how to shoot with what you have and make it work. 3 – 5pm DIY Wood Soap Molds with Brenda Foster of Bubs and Scrubs

Want to save money and make your own custom molds? It’s really not that hard. All you need is a little measuring, a local hardware store, glue, nails, and that’s it! Brenda Foster of Bubs and Scrubs will demonstrate how you can easily and economically build your own custom soap molds.

10am – 12 noon Soap Couture with Niambi Cacchioli of Storyboard Soaps

Bring your fashion sense to your soaps! In this class you will use simple MP soapmaking techniques to create designer soaps that pop. You will learn how to glam up your soaps with mica shimmer, chic embeds and “soap toppers”. The class will also include DIY packaging tips to protect and showcase your creations.

1 – 4 pm Soy Candle Making with Yum Yum Candle

Candle-making is a popular craft that people have enjoyed for centuries. It’s fun, it’s creative and costs relatively little to get started. This introductory, soy candle-making class will provide a great foundation for the start of a new hobby or new business!
